Jen Deck nominated to be the Ontario NDP candidate in Peterborough-Kawartha

PETERBOROUGH – New Democrats in Peterborough–Kawartha have nominated local elementary teacher and union leader to carry the Ontario NDP banner for the next provincial election.

“People in Peterborough–Kawartha deserve a government that builds homes, hires doctors, fixes schools, and makes life easier. Doug Ford and the Conservatives have had seven years to do that – but they haven’t delivered. People are struggling to find an affordable home or a family physician, and kids are being robbed of their potential in overcrowded classrooms. I am proud to stand with Marit Stiles and the Ontario NDP to form a government that will put you first.”

As President and chief negotiator for the Kawartha Pine Ridge ETFO Occasional Teachers’ Local, Deck knows how to stand up for working families and fight for stronger public services. With more than a decade of union leadership and 20 years of classroom experience, she will be a strong voice for Peterborough–Kawartha.
